Modernized armored vehicle “Kozak-2M1” receives remote combat module (video)
The Defense Forces have received modified Kozak-2M1 armored vehicles equipped with remote combat modules. The module uses a 14.5-mm machine gun as a weapon. Due to its large caliber, it is capable of hitting fortifications and armored vehicles.
In the video below, you can see the firepower of the machine gun, which is controlled by the operator using a remote control. Experts were unable to identify the module. Without the armor plate, it looks like a module mounted on a BMP-1LB.
The machine gun can boast of a powerful optical station with several observation channels, including thermal imaging. In the modified armored vehicle, not only the module operator but also the driver has access to digital surveillance equipment.
Installing a combat module on a vehicle with the integration of a control system is not possible without a serious technological base. Most likely, the work was performed at the manufacturer’s facilities.
