It is noted that the incident occurred around 20:15. At the time of the fall, the meteor’s glow illuminated the night streets.
The fall of the celestial body could be seen from Malatya, Erzurum, Elyazig, Gaziantep and the surrounding provinces.

“At the moment of impact, the meteorite broke into pieces, and the sky shone with blue light,” the newspaper writes.
In May, a 4.6 billion-year-old meteorite hit a residential building in Hopewell, New Jersey, USA, and pierced the roof.
