Ukrainian Armed Forces show how they shot down Russian missiles during a night attack (video)

“We are defending what is ours and will continue to do so until we win!”

The Ukrainian military showed how they shot down Russian missiles during tonight’s attack.

This was reported by the Center Air Command.

The anti-aircraft gunners claim that they will destroy every missile of the Russian occupiers.

“That’s right! We are defending what is ours and will continue to do so until we win!” the statement reads.

It should be noted that on the night of September 6, the Russian army launched attack drones and various missiles at Ukraine. For example, drones attacked the Israeli district (Odesa region), where the ports of Izmail, Kilia, and Reni are located, for about three hours, and fired missiles at Kyiv.

During the night attack, 33 Russian air targets were recorded, namely:

  • 7 air-launched missiles of the X-101/X-555/X-55 type, which were launched from 9 Tu-95MS strategic aircraft from the Engels area;
  • 1 Iskander-M ballistic missile;
  • 25 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs from the southeast and south (Prymorsko-Akhtarsk, Choudha).

Ukrainian defenders destroyed 23 air targets, including 7 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles, one Iskander-M ballistic missile and 15 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs.

According to Yuriy Ignat, a representative of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Command, the Russians have changed the area where they launch missiles – previously it was the Caspian Sea, but now the point is located west of Engels – and missiles X-101, X-555, and X-55 are launched from there. He added that the missiles were mostly shot down in central Ukraine.
