NATO reconnaissance aircraft monitor Crimea and the Black Sea
Two NATO reconnaissance aircraft are monitoring Crimea and the Black Sea. This is reported by the Crimean Wind Telegram channel.
It is noted that according to the Flightradar flight tracking portal, a Lockheed EP-3E Aries II aircraft with call sign AA33 was spotted flying over Romania and its coastal waters. The EP-3E is the standard long-range electronic reconnaissance aircraft of the U.S. Navy.
A Bombardier Challenger 650 with the call sign CL60 is also conducting reconnaissance over the territory of Romania along the borders of Ukraine and Moldova.
“In 2020, the U.S. Army began using Bombardier Challenger 650 ARTEMIS (Airborne Reconnaissance and Targeting Multi-Mission Intelligence System) aircraft as electronic reconnaissance aircraft,” the statement said.
