Powerful explosions occurred: unknown UAVs attacked Belgorod region (photos, video)

The Russian Defense Ministry has traditionally blamed Ukraine for the drone attack. Fragments of one of the UAVs fell near a private house.

On the night of September 11 at about 01:20 (Moscow time), explosions were heard in the Belgorod region. Local authorities reported the alleged downing of two unmanned aerial vehicles. This was announced by the Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov on Telegram.

“Our air defense system worked in the Yakovlivka urban district, shooting down two airplane-type UAVs,” said Vyacheslav Gladkov.

He noted that no one was injured in the incident. However, fragments of one of the drones fell on the roadway next to a private house.

The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the attack of two drones and blamed Ukraine.

“An attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack by an aircraft-type UAV against targets in the Russian Federation has been prevented,” the statement said.

The local Telegram channel noted that the sounds of explosions were also heard near the town of Stroitel in Belgorod region. There were at least two powerful explosions.

On September 8, it was reported that an unknown drone attacked the local Silicon El plant in Bryansk, Russia. It hit one of the buildings. However, according to local authorities, the drone was shot down by air defense forces.

On September 7, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that a drone attacked the Moscow region. According to him, the drone was destroyed by air defense in the Ramensky urban district. However, local Telegram channels reported that the blast wave smashed windows in the apartments of a multi-storey building on Desantna Street in Ramenskoye.
