A major failure occurred in Starlink and SpaceX does not yet know what it is and what caused it

On the night of Wednesday, September 13, SpaceX’s Starlink global satellite internet network experienced an unexpected outage. This has affected users in many countries. The communication problems lasted for about an hour, after which the network was restored, but users in the affected regions were left without access to the satellite Internet.

According to Channel 24, the outage was reported by NetBlocks, an organization that monitors Internet outages and network problems around the world. As a reminder, Starlink is a project of SpaceX, which is partially owned by entrepreneur Elon Musk. The service offers Internet connection via a constellation of satellites located in low Earth orbit. Starlink also helps our defenders on the frontline in a very powerful way, which is very annoying for the occupiers.

The international outage, which took place in the evening of September 13, reportedly disrupted the Internet for Starlink subscribers in various countries. The exact number of affected users and the extent of the outage have not been officially disclosed. However, reports from the affected regions indicate that several countries experienced disruptions during the incident.

Despite the inconvenience caused by the service interruption, SpaceX managed to restore the normal operation of the Starlink network in about an hour. However, the root cause of the outage remains shrouded in mystery, as SpaceX has not yet provided an official explanation for the malfunction.

Starlink continues to grow

Starlink is attracting significant attention and investment due to its potential to bring high-speed Internet access to remote and underserved areas around the world. Starlink’s constellation of satellites in orbit has been constantly expanding in recent years, offering coverage in more regions.

SpaceX, led by Elon Musk, has made significant progress in its space projects, including the ambitious Starship project aimed at enabling interplanetary travel. Musk’s involvement in various cutting-edge technologies has made him a prominent figure in the aerospace and technology industries.

Also, recently, Starlink and Elon Musk personally have been plagued by scandals over the war in Ukraine. It is reported that Musk prevented Ukrainian troops from liberating Ukrainian land from invaders for fear of Russia. It’s no secret that Musk has a huge single-handed influence on the Starlink constellation. He almost single-handedly decides who gets to turn on the satellite Internet and who doesn’t. This was used by the occupiers’ propagandists. They deliberately “intimidated” Musk by claiming that Crimea is exclusively Russian territory and that if Ukrainian troops operate in Crimea using Starlink, it will allegedly provoke World War III.

But as we can see, Ukrainians are doing just fine without Musk.
