Ukrainian Armed Forces demonstrate the UR-83P wheeled chassis (video)
Servicemen of the assault units of the State Special Transport Service showed a modernized demining unit. We are talking about the UR-83P, which received a wheelbase. The military mounted the unit in the body of a KamAZ-5350 truck.
The mobility of the modernized UR-83P has increased significantly. It took less time to put it into a combat position. All tests were successfully completed. It is ready for use on the front line.
The UR-83P is used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to create passages in minefields. It consists of a guide post, an anchoring device, two cassettes with DKRP-5 cable, brake ropes, DM-70 jet motors, a connecting cable, a detonation transmission unit, a launcher and a BP-04 detonator.
An analog of the UR-83P is the American M58 MICLIC. The Ukrainian army received such systems last fall.
