At night, Russian Tu-95MS strategic jets launched a missile attack on Ukraine, launching a group of X-101/555/55 cruise missiles. Kharkiv was also shelled with ballistic missiles from the S-300 system.
This was reported by the Air Force and the heads of the regions.
The air defense system operated in Cherkasy, Kyiv, and Lviv regions, as well as in the capital.
Three Russian missiles hit Drohobych, the head of the Lviv regional military administration said. Two were for an industrial facility and one was for a private two-story warehouse. A workshop and warehouse are on fire, and a three-story building is destroyed. There are probably no casualties.
Seven people were injured in the capital’s Darnytsia district, including two children aged 18 and 9. They and another person were hospitalized. All of the victims were from a house located next to an infrastructure facility, where rocket fragments fell on it. There is also a service station on fire in the area, where firefighters are extinguishing two cars. In the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, rocket fragments damaged a gas pipe, but there is no fire.
There are at least six “arrivals” in Kharkiv. The mayor of the city reports that they are all in the Sloboda district. Information about possible victims is being clarified. There is damage to the infrastructure. According to monitoring groups, Russians fired S-300 ballistic missiles at Kharkiv. The mayor of the city reported two wounded.
In the center of Cherkasy, fragments of a downed missile hit a civilian infrastructure facility. There is considerable destruction there. A man was rescued from the rubble of the hotel building. Seven people were injured by the missile strike. Another 10 people were evacuated.
There are also “arrivals” of Russian missiles in the city of Rivne, said Vitaliy Koval, head of the OVA.
“There were hits to the energy and civilian infrastructure in the regional center. In particular, a service station and 5 cars located on its territory were hit. There were no human casualties,” he said.
It is also known that part of Rivne district was left without electricity. The power company’s teams are actively working to restore the power.
