Ingenuity on Mars: NASA helicopter sets altitude record and makes 59th successful flight
Ingenuity – a helicopter on Mars that has reached historic heights
The Ingenuity Martian helicopter has made another successful flight on the Red Planet and reached a new record altitude.
NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory reported that it happened on September 16 – Ingenuity rose 20 meters and spent 142 seconds in flight. It was his 59th flight.
Ingenuity has set a new record!

- The Ingenuity Martian helicopter, which arrived on the Red Planet with the Perseverance research vehicle on August 6, 2022, has already exceeded all NASA expectations. The engineers had only planned for five flights. In its 59 missions, Ingenuity has traveled a total of 13,304 meters and spent 106.5 minutes in flight.
