It didn’t work: FPV drone destroys Russian tank despite anti-drone net on the road (video)

In the area of the temporarily occupied Bakhmut, the Russian Armed Forces stretched a net between the poles. It was supposed to protect against kamikaze drone attacks, but the Ukrainian military simply flew above it.

FPV drones are becoming more and more common in warfare. The Russian Federation decided to install a grid right on the road, which is supposed to stop drones. However, the Ukrainian military clearly showed that this did not help. This was reported by The War Zone.

Small FPV drones are extremely highly maneuverable products. They are used by the Defense Forces to destroy tanks, trucks, the occupiers themselves, and sometimes even larger drones. Recently, the occupiers began installing mesh that was stretched between poles in the area of occupied Bakhmut. Ukrainian drones often pursue Russian targets on the road. Therefore, the placement of nets should have stopped them.

However, shortly after the Russian publication, another Ukrainian one appeared. It already shows footage of a kamikaze drone operator flying over the nets and hitting a tank. So the barrier was helpless. The publication adds that the cat-and-mouse game continues. One of the Russian propagandists suggests using a fishing net instead of a camouflage net to make it harder to detect.
