The US nuclear-powered submarine USS Louisiana (SSBN 743) successfully launched the most advanced intercontinental ballistic missile Trident II D5LE

USS Louisiana (SSBN 743) successfully launched a Trident II D5 Life Extension (D5LE) intercontinental ballistic missile. This was reported by Lockheed Martin.

What is known

The US Navy conducted an event called Demonstration and Shakedown Operation-32 (DASO-32). The Ohio-class nuclear-powered submarine USS Louisiana (SSBN 743) launches an intercontinental ballistic missile. At the time, the submarine was in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California.

DOSA-32 increased the number of successful Trident II test launches to 191 since the design of the intercontinental ballistic missile in 1989. This is the longest series for large ballistic missiles.

Lockheed Martin claims that the Trident II D5LE is the most advanced ballistic missile in the world. The carriers are American Ohio-class submarines and British Vanguard-class submarines. The missile has three stages, an inertial guidance system and a launch range of more than 7,000 km in full gear.
