Golden Eagle drone equipped with machine gun and AI for precise destruction of ground and air targets (video)
Steadicopter engineers have installed a special suspension with a machine gun on an unmanned Golden Eagle helicopter. The new system, known as SMASH Dragon, is unique in that it is capable of attacking both ground and air targets with high accuracy.
SMASH Dragon uses patented algorithms to detect targets. It can be armed with 44-mm grenade launchers, sniper rifles, machine guns, etc. AI and computer vision technologies help drone operators recognize small objects and targets.
The Golden Eagle drone is equipped with a unique on-board ARCWS system that allows for remote weapon control. The autonomous helicopter is powered by a single electric motor. The declared flight duration is 3 hours. Golden Eagle can be located at a distance of up to 100 km from the operator. The speed of the drone can reach 150 km/h.
The modular design of the UAV has an open architecture, which greatly simplifies the placement of infrared and optical sensors, communication repeaters, radars, etc. on board.
