Airfields near occupied Luhansk and Berdiansk came under attack

On the night of Tuesday, October 17, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck at Russian helicopters and airfields. Our military attacked enemy targets near the occupied Luhansk and Berdiansk. The number of destroyed vehicles is currently unknown.

This was reported by Stratcom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They noted that the strikes were successful.

“On the night of October 17, the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully attacked helicopters and equipment of the airfields of the Russian occupation forces near the temporarily occupied Luhansk and Berdiansk,” the statement said.

The information was also confirmed by Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov. According to him, local residents heard the sounds of explosions for half the night.

“While we were sleeping, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reduced the number of helicopters at the Berdiansk airfield. Residents of the city listened to wonderful “tracks” of air defense work, arrivals and detonation of ammunition for half a night. We are waiting for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to give a similar concert in Melitopol,” wrote Fedorov.

Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes at enemy positions

Over the last day, the aviation of the Defense Forces conducted 4 strikes on the areas of concentration of occupants’ personnel, weapons and military equipment. Missile units hit 2 helicopters at landing sites, an ammunition depot and an artillery vehicle of the Russians. The General Staff did not specify whether Stratcom wrote about these destroyed helicopters.
