New electronic warfare system DroneSentry-X Mk2 will protect any military vehicle
With the help of artificial intelligence, the DroneSentry-X Mk2 system quickly detects and recognizes UAVs, helping to destroy them.
The Australian-American company DroneShield, whose anti-drone guns are actively purchased by NATO countries, has introduced another electronic warfare module, the DroneSentry-X Mk2, to protect against drones. This was reported on the company’s official website.
The company emphasizes the versatility of its new module. It is compact enough to be installed on standard car roof racks, military vehicles, surface ships, and unmanned mobile platforms. The module can also be deployed as a permanent or fixed installation on standard masts or tripod towers to protect positions during operations.
DroneSentry-X Mk2 supports passive detection, identification, and tracking of multiple drones simultaneously thanks to the multi-purpose AI/ML DroneShield RFAI technology. The system was also equipped with artificial intelligence, which quickly provides the operator with data on the target and its coordinates by checking its database of various objects and UAV models.
The DroneSentry-X Mk2 has its own web interface that allows operators to view real-time analytics of local detection activity with a map overlay, as well as configure automatic or manual shutdown of the system. Updates to the patented DroneShield detection engine based on artificial intelligence and machine learning ensure that Drone Sentry-X Mk2 is effective and constantly evolving in a rapidly changing threat environment, the developers assure.
The DroneSentry-X Mk2 is also compatible with DroneLocator technology, which provides critical information such as drone and controller coordinates, altitude, and speed in real time. The system also has an open architecture, which will allow military engineers and programmers to customize and adapt the software to their army needs.
