Toilet with a view of the stratosphere and space: an American company showed capsules for space tourists

While the Blue Origin spacecraft is able to take space tourists to an altitude of 100 km, which is the beginning of space, and the Virgin Galactic spaceplane to an altitude of 80 km, which is almost outer space, Space Perspective offers a slightly different experience.

At the end of 2024, the US company plans to start regular launches into the stratosphere to an altitude of 30 km of its Neptune capsule, which will be propelled by a balloon filled with hydrogen. Although it is impossible to experience zero gravity during the flight, and space tourists will actually be in the Earth’s atmosphere, Space Perspective positions itself as a provider of space tourism services.

The spherical capsule will be able to accommodate 8 tourists at the same time, who will pay 125 thousand dollars for a ticket. While the flight itself will last 6 hours, the capsule will hover above the Earth’s surface in the stratosphere for only 2 hours. Nevertheless, our planet will be fully visible as if it were a real space flight. By the way, space itself will also be visible thanks to huge panoramic windows. Tourists will be able to sit comfortably on soft seats, there will be a bar and Wi-Fi.

But the Space Perspective company claims that the best place to observe the Earth and space on the Neptune capsule will be the toilet. After all, it is here that you can retire and take photos, thanks to the soft cover on the toilet lid. The restroom will be painted in soothing colors, with live plants and soothing music playing.

Representatives of Space Perspective claim that you can comfortably stay in this toilet for a while, take a selfie, send it back to Earth, and enjoy a moment of complete solitude in the stratosphere.
