On the night of Friday, October 20, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Melitopol. This was reported by the mayor of the city Ivan Fedorov on Telegram.
“It’s been a restless night for the occupiers of Melitopol. After midnight, several explosions occurred outside the city,” he wrote.
He also noted that the most powerful fortified area is the Aviastopil area, where the occupation forces have organized their military base on the seized airfield.
According to Fedorov, residents also heard the hum of machinery.

The regional media outlet RIA Melitopol confirms information about explosions in Melitopol. The readers told the journalists that it was “loud” in the area of the military camp, and after the explosions, the Russians actively used military equipment.
