A $500 FPV drone effectively destroyed a Russian heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A full of thermobaric missiles

The Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated another Russian heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A. It was destroyed near Avdiivka.

Soldiers of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade hit a heavy flamethrower system as it was moving to a firing position. To destroy the TOS-1A, a $500 FPV drone armed with a cumulative warhead was used.

A kamikaze drone flew into a launcher containing thermobaric rockets. The Russian heavy flamethrower system was completely destroyed as a result of an accurate hit.

Interestingly, the TOS-1A was struck when the system was less than 5 km from the combat line. The system was forced to get so close to the front because of the short launch range of thermobaric missiles, which is only 6 km.

According to Oryx, prior to this incident, the Ukrainian Defense Forces had managed to destroy at least six flamethrower systems and capture three more. In addition, three charging vehicles were destroyed and four were seized.
