Suspiciously similar to Switchblade 300: Sina’s new kamikaze drone was shown in Iran (photo)

During the exercise, the Iranian army tested a new unmanned vehicle. It is a Sina kamikaze UAV that looks similar to the Switchblade 300.

According to the Defense Blog, the new Iranian drone is designed to strike unarmored vehicles and manpower concentrations. Its flight range can reach 5 km. The kamikaze UAV has an electric motor. The weight of the Sina warhead varies between 0.3-1 kg.

Apparently, the Switchblade 300 drone has been subjected to reverse engineering. Iranian experts use this method of copying weapons quite often. The compact Sina precision-guided munition has a lightweight design that allows for rapid deployment from mobile and offshore platforms. After launching and opening the wings, the barrage munition begins to move towards the target along the route specified by the operator.

Defense Blog journalists point out that the development of the Sina Kamikaze UAV shows that the Iranian army’s capabilities in the use of unmanned vehicles continue to expand. The number of UAV models operated by the Iranian military is steadily increasing.
