Samsung shows Bot Fit, a belted robot that helps people walk and has an entertainment mode
In early 2024, Samsung plans to bring the Bot Fit belted robot to CES. It will not be the premiere of a new product, but a demonstration of the production version of the GEMS Hip robot, which debuted three years ago, at the electronics exhibition. Samsung engineers renamed it Bot Fit.
The belted robot is designed for people with limited mobility and the elderly. It is positioned by the South Korean corporation as a medical device that facilitates walking. This fact did not prevent the robot’s developers from endowing it with the Aqua entertainment mode. Once activated, Bot Fit will start creating the effects of walking on water.
The robot supports synchronization with smartwatches and smartphones. Users can set different walking parameters. Optionally, you can connect wireless headphones to Bot Fit to receive recommendations from the virtual assistant.
