Ukraine will remove “y” signs from training vehicles

The Cabinet of Ministers eliminated the “U” license plate on cars. From now on, a different sign will be used.

On October 27, the Cabinet of Ministers amended the Traffic Rules, replacing the adjective “uchastvennyi” (educational), which was copied from the Russian language, with “uchastvennyi” (training). This is stated in the order No. 128.

No more “training” cars in Ukraine

According to the new Traffic Rules, Ukraine no longer has “training” cars, but training cars. So now the “U” sign for a training vehicle will change to an “H”.

Reference. The distinguishing mark “Training Vehicle” is an equilateral triangle of white color with a top up and a red border, in which the letter “H” is inscribed in black. The sign shall be placed on the front and rear of vehicles used for driving training. It is allowed to install a two-sided sign on the roof of a car.

Also, according to the new traffic rules, drivers must carry children in child seats until their height reaches 150 centimeters.
