But he did come back. The saga of ChatGPT creator is over: Sam Altman to lead OpenAI again

Following a massive employee protest, the company’s board of directors will change and another OpenAI founder, Greg Brockman, will return.

The CEO of OpenAI, who was dismissed by the board of directors, returns to the company to his position. This is reported by VentureBeat portal.

After almost four days of confusion, OpenAI, a company specializing in AI-based products (ChatGPT and Dall-E), announced that Sam Altman will return to the company as CEO. The announcement also notes that the company will have a new board of directors, which will include Bret Taylor, Larry Summers and Adam D’Angelo.

According to VentureBeat, now that Sam is back in the company, the situation at OpenAI is expected to stabilize. However, at this stage, the fate of Twitch’s Emmett Shear, who was appointed interim CEO after Altman’s dismissal, remains unclear.

Yesterday, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that the fired Sam Altman would join the corporation to work on AI-based products. Microsoft has invested more than $10 billion, owns 49% of OpenAI, and uses the full potential of the company’s AI developments in its products, including the development of its Copilot intelligent assistant.
