The range of FPV drones can increase several times thanks to Metronome
The Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions has developed the Metronome complex designed to increase the range of FVP drones. The head of the center, Dmytro Kuzyakin, told journalists about this.
The danger of using FPV drones is that the enemy may launch a calculated strike during their launch. During the test of the digital communication system, the drone was launched from a vehicle located seven kilometers from the launch point. After maneuvers in the air, the drone was landed on the ground in the same way.
Metronome does not use a range extender to increase the length of the communication channel. Kuziakin refused to name the range of the FPV drone when used in tandem with a digital communication system. We can assume that it will be several tens of kilometers.
The Central Intelligence Agency claims that the new development is capable of radically changing the scenarios of using FPV drones on the battlefield. Increasing their range will make them more efficient.
