A $500 FPV drone hits a $100 million Buk-M1-2 anti-aircraft missile system launcher
It seems that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have updated the record for the cost of Russian military equipment destroyed by an FPV drone. Recently, a drone successfully attacked the launcher of the Buk-M1-2 anti-aircraft missile system.
We have already seen FPV drones attacking and destroying T-90M tanks worth up to $5 million, infantry fighting vehicles worth several hundred thousand dollars, and TOS-1A heavy flamethrower systems worth $15 million. The new record belongs to the Buk-M1-2 air defense system.
The cost of the entire anti-aircraft missile system is estimated at $100 million. To build one FPV drone, you need to spend $500. But to be fair, it should be noted that the self-propelled launcher was not destroyed, but damaged. In addition to it, the complex also includes other components that have survived.
