A ‘dual gaming PC’ has appeared – CLX Hathor
CLX has announced the launch of one of the most unique desktop computers on the market. The company calls its new CLX Hathor machine a ‘dual gaming PC.’ After all, this is a desktop PC in which two separate PCs are installed.
The CLX Hathor looks like a regular desktop PC in a tower format. It has a colorful body and lighting according to modern fashion.
However, there are two separate computers installed inside the CLX Hathor case. The first PC is an almost standard desktop PC based on Intel Core processors (up to Core i9-13900K with 24 cores and 32 threads), as well as Nvidia GeForce RTTX 40 or Intel Arc 7 series graphics cards, and up to 64 GB of RAM.
The second Intel NUC 12 Extreme Compute Element mini-computer is installed inside this case. It’s powered by an Intel Core i9-12900 processor and 64GB of RAM, and has its own hoard of connectivity options, including 10GB of Ethernet and various ports.
CLX says that this additional NUC can be used to stream your game while the main machine handles the game. This allows you not to sacrifice the performance of the game and not to be afraid of interruptions in the broadcast.
For cooling two computers in one case, a rather powerful system with an AiO liquid cooler and a large number of fans on all sides of the case is provided. This should keep both computers running smoothly, even at full power.
Both systems also use a single power supply, so it should be quite powerful. The machine is available with a power supply unit with a power of up to 1600 W.
Of course, putting two computers in one case is not cheap. The CLX Hathor starts at $3,999 and that doesn’t include things like a discrete GPU for the main PC.
