A factory producing optics for the Russian army burns down near Moscow (video)

On the morning of Wednesday, August 9, Moscow authorities reported that Russian air defense had shot down two drones that were approaching Moscow from two directions at the same time, and a few hours later, the “cotton” bloomed in the Moscow suburbs.

Russian media reports that the explosion occurred in Sergiev Posad, near the Zagorsk Optical and Mechanical Plant. There are reports of 25 injuries and broken windows in at least 100 apartments.

Photos and videos were posted online showing a huge column of smoke rising above the explosion site.

According to the NACP, the plant has existing contracts and agreements with the Russian Federation for the supply of radiation non-destructive testing devices of various types to the Russian military-industrial complex, which indicates that the company supports and contributes in every way to the policy of the Russian Federation that undermines the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

By the way, this plant, which produces, among other things, binoculars and optical sights, burned on June 8, 2022, with a fire area estimated at 500 square meters. The fires were of the highest level.
