A free AI fairy tale generator for children has appeared in Ukraine – kazka.fun

The service uses the generative capabilities of ChatGPT artificial intelligence and allows creating up to 5 fairy tales a day, DEV.ua reports.

Currently, kazka.fun is in beta. But users can already generate their own tales and view the stories of others. A system of likes has also been implemented, and the most popular fairy tales are displayed on the main page.

How to generate a fairy tale in the service

  1. First, you need to create an account on the site, which will allow you to create up to 5 fairy tales a day.
  2. Next, the user should click the “Create a Fairy Tale” button.
  3. After that, you need to choose the setting of the story, such as “space,” “pirates,” or “school,” name the main character, and describe the events you want to see in the tale.
  4. Click the Create button and wait a few minutes.

The service will not only generate a children’s story, but also create a cover for it. You can change it by choosing from several options. You can also edit the fairy tale itself to correct mistakes or make changes to the story to your liking.

You can share the link to the generated fairy tale with others. Currently, the storybook generator for children is completely free, but you can support the project’s authors on the Buy Me a Coffee service.

This initiative is more than just a social project, it is a social movement,” the authors say. “It ensures that every child, regardless of their family’s circumstances, can experience the magic of a fairy tale. In a world full of anxiety, we are here to sprinkle a little magic, lighting the flame of hope with a magical bedtime story“.

How the idea for the project came about

Marketer Volodymyr Stetsenko talked about the creation of an AI fairy tale generator for children on his X (Twitter) account. He said that the service was created by his wife.

According to Volodymyr, when his son Zorian was 5 years old, he loved to listen to stories about a naughty princess who “does something stupid and then corrects herself.”

“Six months later, I and my imagination gave up, and the princess tragically died while committing a new prank,” the marketer admits. “When GPT chat appeared, perhaps this problem became a little easier to solve, but still not child-friendly.” That is why his wife created a fairy tale generator for children, where everyone can create their own story.

According to Volodymyr Stetsenko, the generator is in the MVP (minimum viable product) status, but “it fulfills its function.” He claims that the project was “run” by his son Zoryan (who was involved in its creation) and primary school teachers.

According to Volodymyr, the Stetsens want to make the service available to every child, “regardless of the circumstances of their family.”

There should be more Ukrainian-language content, children should be happy, and adults should tell children bedtime stories,” the man believes.
