A house for cats with automatic combing and a treat dispenser has been created in the USA (video)
An American startup has introduced PawSwing, a device for automatic cat combing that looks like a regular house but with brushes that mimic a cat’s tongue and a dispenser for treats.
The idea is simple: the inlet is quite small, and there are brushes along its edges – their shape is meant to imitate licking with a cat’s tongue. Climbing into the house, the cat rubs against the brushes, leaving hair on them.
The brushes rotate, and the collected wool falls into a container that is easy to clean: just pull out the lumps of wool.
The size of the opening can be adjusted to fit the cat’s size or left fixed so that several animals of different sizes can fit through. The manufacturers note that the house can accommodate a cat weighing up to 18 kg.
To make it easier to train your cat, there is a food or treat dispenser in the upper part. It works on a timer and allows the animal to get used to an incomprehensible object in the house.
PawSwing is currently only available on the Ingiegogo crowdfunding platform for $99 for one set of the house and accessories. The pre-order is expected to ship in March.
