In the Carpathians, a new gas deposit was discovered in one of the depleted fields. It is the largest in the region over the past 20 years.
Naftogaz Group announced that a new gas deposit was found during additional exploration of one of the previously depleted fields in the Carpathians.
The well at a depth of 1,600 meters produced more than 200 thousand tons. cubic meters. m of gas per day and set a production record in the region over the past 20 years!
The company added that the discovery is the result of the coordinated work of professionals, the use of 3D seismic surveys and modern drilling technologies.
By the way, the drilling well was also installed in record time. We are doing everything possible and impossible to increase Ukrainian gas production!
What is known about the new field
Naftogaz reported that the deposit was discovered in the Mesozoic gas-bearing complex of the Carpathians.
A team of Ukrburgaz specialists drilled a new well with a depth of 1,600 meters to further explore the depleted field. Record gas production was achieved thanks to the use of modern technologies, in particular the Ivan Bogun drilling rig.
According to the company, the well was drilled based on the results of the interpretation of new data from previously conducted 3D seismic surveys.
