A previous version of Windows 11 22H2 has been released
Microsoft has released the next major update to Windows 11 22H2 (build 22621) in the Release Preview channel. Windows Insider members can already install and test this version.
The new version of Windows 11 22H2 includes a number of significant changes in the operating system. In particular, users can expect new folders of the Start menu, updated touch gestures, the ability to drag items on the taskbar. So now you can move the files to an open program on the taskbar.
Windows 11 also introduces a new Spotlight wallpaper feature that cyclically switches beautiful wallpapers that are usually available on the lock screen. Live Captions automatic subtitles add text support for audio data, which can be useful for the deaf and hard of hearing.
Task Manager has undergone significant changes in Windows 11 22H2. It has a dark mode, improved element placement, a new command bar, and an efficiency mode that allows you to limit the use of system resources by applications. Snap Layouts and Focus have also been updated.
The final version of Windows 11 22H2 for all users should be released in the second half of the year, approximately in September.
