On the evening of January 20, a Russian Falcon 10 business jet with six people on board disappeared from radar in Afghanistan. Later it became known that the plane crashed into a mountain in Badakhshan province.

According to them, the plane crashed due to a technical malfunction. Representatives of the radical Taliban movement said they had sent a team to the region to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
The Khaama Press agency also reported that the plane deviated from its original course and crashed in a mountainous area.
Initially, it was assumed that this was a business jet of an Indian company. However, later, the Federal Air Transport Agency told that it is a Falcon 10 aircraft, which is registered in the state register of civil aircraft in Russia. It is owned by Atletik Group LLC, registered in the Moscow region, and an unnamed individual.
At the same time, according to according to the Ministry of Civil Aviation of India, the plane was registered in Morocco.
It is noted that the business jet was performing a “chartered sanitary flight” on the route India-Uzbekistan-Russia, with the final destination being Moscow’s Zhukovsky airport.
According to preliminary data, there were six people on board – two Russian passengers and four crew members.
The search for the aircraft is ongoing.
