A Russian missile was flying toward the Polish border, and Poland raised its fighter jets

On the morning of February 7, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of a Russian cruise missile moving in the Lviv region toward the Polish border.

At the same time, the Polish Operational Command announced the departure of its own and allied aircraft.
It is likely to be the aircraft of other NATO members.
We would like to inform you that intensive activities of the Russian Federation’s long-range aviation are being observed, including missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine. All the necessary procedures have been initiated to ensure the safety of Polish airspace, and the Operational Command is constantly monitoring the situation,” the statement said.
They emphasized that Polish and allied aircraft were involved, which could cause increased noise levels, especially in the southeastern part of the country.
Ukrainian air defense forces shoot down 29 missiles and 15 drones during Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine.
In a massive missile attack this morning, Russia launched 64 air strikes. Defense forces shot down 44 of them.
The enemy used:
- 20 attack UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type (Chauda – Crimea);
- 29 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles from 10 Tu-95MS strategic aviation aircraft (launches – Engels, Caspian Sea);
- Four X-22 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 bombers (Sevastopol, Kursk launch area)
- Three “Kalibr” sea-launched cruise missiles from carriers in the Black Sea (launch area – Novorossiysk);
- three “Iskander-M” ballistic missiles (launched from Cape Tarkhankut – Crimea, Voronezh region – Russia);
- five S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles (launch area – Belgorod region – Russia).
We managed to bring down:
- 26 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles;
- three Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 15 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVsRussian troops shell Kyiv.
