A second caravan with food left Ukrainian ports
The second caravan with Ukrainian food left the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk – 4 vessels exporting almost 170,000 tons of agricultural products.
This is reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure. The ships are heading to the ports of Italy, China, and Turkey. According to Marine Traffic, the ships ‘Mustafa Necati’, ‘Riva Wind’ and ‘Star Helena’ will arrive at the port of Istanbul on August 8 in the afternoon.
‘After working out the organization of the first caravan at the ports, we are gradually moving on to larger volumes of work. Soon we plan to fully join the ‘South’ port to the implementation of the initiative. We expect that thanks to this we will be able to send even larger caravans of vessels to buyers, at least up to 3 million tons per month,’ commented Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
Earlier, a ship arrived at the port of Chornomorsk for the first time during the full-scale war. All other vessels that began to export Ukrainian agricultural products were in ports before the invasion and remained blocked.
