Adobe creates a special symbol for marking content created by artificial intelligence
Adobe and other tech firms have created a special symbol to denote content generated by artificial intelligence. It can be added to the metadata of images, videos, and PDFs.
The symbol is called the Transparency Badge. It is available in Adobe products such as Photoshop and Premiere. When you hover over the icon, information about the author, the AI tool used, and other data about the content creation appears.
The badge was developed as part of the C2PA coalition, which aims to create standards for authenticating content. The C2PA includes Microsoft, Intel, and other technology companies. In the coming months, they will also start using this symbol to label AI content.
Adoption of the icon is not mandatory for companies and users. They can decide whether or not to use it to label materials created with AI tools
