This was reported by Censor.NO with a link to ASTRA;
“After the first UAV attacks on the Leningrad region since the beginning of the war, residents noticed S-300 air defense systems in the region. The anti-aircraft missile systems were filmed by a local resident, and one of the systems blocked the roadway, trying to turn around,” the newspaper writes.
“This is bullshit. S-300s are being placed in the area around St. Petersburg. So, friends, we are preparing for the worst,” a resident of the Russian Federation comments.
S-300 is a family of Soviet medium-range air defense missile systems. They went on combat duty in 1979. Depending on the specific type of installation and interceptor missiles, the range of destruction can reach up to 300 kilometers.
The S-300 systems are capable of operating in various combinations within the same modification within the same complex, between modifications (limited), and through various mobile higher command posts to form batteries.
As a reminder, on the night of January 18, the Russian Defense Ministry first reported the alleged interception of a drone in the Leningrad region. Russian telegram channels wrote that the drone had fallen on an oil depot in St. Petersburg. According to Ukrainian media sources, it was a special operation of the GUR.
