Air defense forces destroyed 47 cruise missiles over Ukraine
In total, the enemy made 55 launches
The air defense forces destroyed 47 cruise missiles over Ukraine in the early hours of January 26.
This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhnyi.
He emphasized that in total, the enemy launched 55 air and sea-based missiles (X-101, X-555, X-47 “Kinzhal”, “Kalibr”, X-59) from Tu-95, Su-35, MiG- 31K and ships from the Black Sea.
This time, the occupiers used high-precision air and sea-based missiles:
- Kh-47 “Kinzhal” – from two MiG-31K aircraft;
- Kh-101/Kh-555 air-launched cruise missiles – from six Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea;
- Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles – from ships and submarines in the Black Sea.
In total, the enemy launched 55 missiles of various bases (up to 2 X-47 “Kinzhal”, up to 40 KR “X-101/X-555”, up to 9 KR “Caliber”, 4 KAR X-59).
47 cruise and guided air missiles were destroyed by the forces and means of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with units of other components of the Defense Forces. In addition, three of the four Kh-59 guided air missiles did not reach their targets.
Earlier it was reported that 20 missiles of various types were detected and shot down over Kyiv. At the same time, air defense shot down 26 missiles of various types over the south of Ukraine.
