The new Great Wall Poer has improved off-road capabilities. The pickup truck has increased ground clearance, installed a winch, housing protection and special tires.
The Great Wall Poer pickup received a new modification for heavy off-road use. It was created in the famous Icelandic atelier Arctic Trucks, which specializes in off-road tuning. This is reported on his official website.
The clearance of the pickup has been increased to 270 mm.
The new Great Wall Poer AT35 (that’s the name of the model) was built according to the traditional recipe of Arctic Trucks. Toyota Land Cruiser 300, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and other SUVs have already been modified in a similar way.
The car is equipped with a 2.0-liter 150-horsepower turbodiesel
The clearance of the Chinese pickup was increased from 232 to 270 mm. The approach angle increased to 36 degrees, and the exit angle – to 29. There were also huge off-road tires with a size of 315/70 R17: for their installation, wheel arch extenders were also needed.
In addition, a winch with a force of 4.3 tons, steps and a snorkel for overcoming water obstacles were installed. The bottom received additional metal protection.
Equipment includes huge off-road tires
The Great Wall Poer AT35 pickup has become heavier to 2266 kg, but the engine has remained standard – it is a 2.0-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 150 hp. Instead, the suspension was strengthened and off-road shock absorbers were installed. The car received a 6-speed manual gearbox and four-wheel drive with a reduction gear and differential locks.
