Android 13 will get a noise cancellation feature for phone calls

Enthusiasts have discovered a new feature in the QPR1 Beta build of the Android 13 software platform. It is called Clear Calling. When activated, noise cancellation technology will be applied during a call.

As you know, noise reduction is widely used in wireless headphones. In Android 13, this solution will be based on AI technologies.

The noise-canceling function in Android 13 Google claims that the content of user conversations will not be sent to the company’s servers. Dialogues will be processed directly on the smartphone.

According to The Verge, the Clear Calling feature will work on almost all cellular networks. It cannot be used for calls via Wi-Fi. Thus, Clear Calling will not be active in messengers.

In the above build of Android 13, the discussed feature must be activated manually. It does not turn on automatically.
