Android device owners are advised not to install a new version of the OS due to a strange bug

Google has not yet started the full deployment of Android 14. At the moment, the option to upgrade to the new OS is available to owners of Pixel and some Samsung models. Nevertheless, complaints from users who encountered problems after installing the new OS began to appear on the Internet.

According to Techspot, Android 14 contains a software bug that causes mobile devices to malfunction. In some cases, they cannot even be launched. The bug was found in the Multiple Profiles feature, which is designed to create multiple user profiles on one smartphone.

Empirically, the journalists of the publication found out that mobile devices work correctly when the Multiple Profiles feature is disabled. When it is activated, users face “eternal” booting, spontaneous resetting, and inability to access the drive.

Google has not yet responded to user complaints. The bug tracker assigned a medium level of importance to the software bug in Android 14. In this regard, Google developers will not be fixing it soon.
