Anti-drone system installed on a Russian tank did not work (video)

The Russian defense industry has modernized the T-80BVM tank based on the experience gained in Ukraine. This follows from a story aired on Zvezda TV channel.

Russian journalists visited the closed landfill of Omsktransmash. This company specializes in modernizing outdated tanks. During the modernization of the T-80BVM, it was fitted with new reinforced protection, a new turret roof, new cumulus grilles and an anti-drone system. Propagandists called the modernized vehicle a “flying tank.” According to their assurances, the T-80BVM is the most invisible Russian tank.

The elements of the anti-drone system look like mushrooms. They are mounted on the tank’s turret. A derivative electronic warfare system is used to suppress drone control and satellite navigation channels. The journalists decided to show how it works in practice. During the attempt to land the quadcopter, the anti-drone system managed to suppress only Wi-Fi. The drone’s camera feed was not interrupted.
