Apple may make changes to the design of the front panel of the iPhone 14 Pro
One of the upcoming Pro-versions of the iPhone 14 received an adjusted design of the front panel. The essence of the changes is the appearance of cutouts in the form of a pill and a small hole, which will visually resemble an elongated pill. Corresponding information was published by MacRumours with reference to an anonymous Apple interlocutor.
According to Bloomberg columnist Mark Gurman, who got acquainted with the insider, rumors about changes in the design of the front panel of the iPhone may come from employees of the Chinese factory Foxconn, where the prospective ‘fourteens’ are assembled.
The selfie module and the FaceID sensor will allegedly be located in the said cutouts. When the display is turned on, the niches should look like a single unit. This may mean that the ‘apple makers’ have disconnected the pixels from the negative space of the screen.
In the MacRumours publication, it is noted that the space between the cutouts, invisible at a superficial glance, will be used to display the privacy indicators that appeared in the iOS 14 operating system. The purpose of these sensors is to show whether the video camera with a microphone is active in applications. If the accessories are used by certain programs, the owner of the iPhone will know about it with the help of orange and green dots, respectively.
MacRumours informants also claim about the non-standard location of the camera and placement of the flash and the ‘live’ photo button in the status bar.
The presentation of the iPhone 14 range of smartphones is expected on September 7. The series will include two models with the letters Pro. For which of them the innovations listed above are relevant, MacRumours sources did not specify.
