Apple releases iOS 17.2 beta 4 with new feature to change default notification sound

Apple has recently introduced a new version of iOS 17.2 beta 4, which includes several important innovations for iPhone and iPad users. One of the key changes is the ability to change the default notification sound, which is a novelty for the iOS operating system. This feature allows users to customize the sound of notifications to their liking in the Sounds and Haptics menu in the settings. Prior to that, iOS 17 introduced several new ringtones and sound signals, replacing the classic Tri-tone sound with the quieter Rebound.

The latest beta also revealed that Apple Music’s collaborative playlist feature, which allowed users to add, delete, and rearrange songs, has been removed. It is not yet clear whether this is a temporary solution or whether the feature will be returned in the next versions of iOS 17.

In addition, iOS 17.2 includes changes to Tapback responses and new widgets for the Clock and Weather apps. This update also allows you to record spatial videos with Apple Vision Pro on iPhone 15 Pro. iOS 17.2 is expected to be released to the public in December.
