In the Bakhmut sector, the Russian invaders were left without a significant amount of ammunition thanks to the artillery of the airborne unit.

Soldiers of the 77th separate airmobile brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine liquidated a field ammunition depot of Russian troops in the Bakhmut sector. This was announced on July 2 in Telegram by the Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.

He also named the specific location where the facility was destroyed. It happened near the village of Yahidne.

“Great job,” the colonel general said in a statement.

Situation in the area of Bakhmut from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

In a morning report, the General Staff said that enemy troops were not abandoning their offensive. In particular, in the Bakhmut sector, Russian invading units tried to implement a plan of offensive actions near Bohdanivka in Donetsk region, but such measures proved to be in vain.

The Russians used aircraft and conducted air strikes near Bila Hora, New York, and Toretsk. About 15 localities suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Vasyukivka, Pivdenne, Bila Hora, Bohdanivka, Markove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Oleksandr-Shultine, and Diliyivka in Donetsk region.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts not only on the Bakhmut direction, but also on the Lyman and Maryinka directions. Heavy fighting continues in these locations. A total of 46 combat engagements took place over the last day. The likelihood of air and missile strikes across Ukraine remains high.

As a reminder, on June 30, Serhiy Cherevaty, spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said that the Russians were holding up to 50,000 invaders in the area of Bakhmut. He also noted that Russian cannon artillery and multiple rocket launchers struck 445 times at Ukrainian troops’ positions in the Bakhmut area over the past 24 hours on June 29.
