The Ukrainian Armed Forces reached a Russian tank heading in the direction of Avdiivka. The armored vehicle was destroyed in the middle of the field by a hit from an anti-aircraft gun.
On October 10, Russian troops intensified assault operations around Avdiivka. The assaults used columns of manpower, which attacked from the surrounding settlements with the support of artillery and aviation. On October 11, the fighting around the city continued.
Soldiers of the 53rd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published footage of the confrontation with the enemy in Donetsk region. They showed that the Russians near Avdiivka are using armored vehicles that are moving across the fields. Ukrainian soldiers stopped an attack by the Russian Armed Forces by shooting down an armored vehicle with an MANPADS missile, according to a video posted online. It is also noted that it “withstood one of the most massive attacks”.
In addition, Russians are shelling residential areas of Avdiivka. One video shows smoke coming out of the windows of a house that was hit by a Russian missile,” the voiceover said. It is stated that “the situation is tense” and “the enemy is trying to surround the city.”
Vitaliy Barabash, head of the Avdiivka MCA, said that 1,600 civilians are still in the city, where fighting has been going on for almost two years. The Russians are attacking particularly hard from the north, where there have been small arms battles. They also used Grad multiple rocket launchers and cannon artillery to strike the city.
It should be noted that according to the DeepState community, the Russian Armed Forces launched an assault from five settlements: Krasnohorivka, Novoselivka Druha, Vodiane, Pisky and Vesele. If you mark these settlements on the map, you will see that there are about 10 kilometers between the extreme points of the Russian position around Andriivka. The nearest distance to Avdiivka is about five kilometers.

The latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of the morning of October 11 states that the Tavria Brigade repelled all attacks by the Russian Armed Forces near the settlements of Avdiivka, Tonenke, Keramika and Pervomayske. During the attacks, Russians used tanks and infantry fighting vehicles.
One of the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers holding back the Russians near Avdiivka said that the enemy had sent more than a battalion of manpower (400-800 people) and about 30 pieces of military equipment into the battle.
