As a result of the offensive, Ukrainian defenders managed to improve their tactical position. The losses of the Russian Armed Forces in killed and wounded amounted to 25 people.
In one of the areas, the NGU soldiers managed to conduct a successful assault and capture 4 enemy positions at once. This was reported by the press service of Azov.
Thus, on August 23, while performing a combat mission, soldiers of the 12th Special Forces Brigade of the Azov National Guard planned and conducted an operation that resulted in the storming of four enemy positions at once.
“During the operation, the soldiers of the 1st Special Forces Battalion and the brigade artillery distinguished themselves by showing courage, determination and professionalism. The artillery and small arms fire destroyed 13 enemy servicemen, 12 were wounded,” the statement said.
It is noted that Ukrainian defenders also captured two occupants, who were handed over to the relevant structures for further exchanges.
As a result of the offensive, the National Guard of Ukraine managed to improve their tactical position by 400 meters inland and 500 meters along the front line.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are breaking through the Surovikin Line, which the Russian Armed Forces relied on heavily. The Ukrainian Armed Forces in Zaporizhzhia are not advancing on a broad front, but are breaking through the occupiers’ lines in certain areas.
