“Beautiful shots”: Ukrainian Armed Forces start using reusable FPV drones (video)

The machine gun crew of the Russian Armed Forces disguised themselves in the ruins of the house and hoped to avoid the attack of the Ukrainian soldiers. However, the strike was still delivered, and the operator saw the results of the FPV drone’s work with his own eyes.

The Ukrainian military is using FPV drones on the front line to destroy Russian manpower and equipment. The FPV drones are usually equipped with explosives, after which the operator directs it to the Russian positions and throws it at the target like a kamikaze. A video has been posted online showing the UAV not self-destructing, but calmly flying away. This was posted on the Telegram channel of the Rarog UAV company of the 24th King Danylo Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The post indicates that the UAV that dropped the grenade is called “Bosyak”. The device flew to the positions of the Russian Armed Forces, where a machine gun crew was hiding. The drone’s camera shows that the Russians are stationed in the ruins of a roofless brick building, with a camouflage net on top.

FPV drone “Bosyak” hits a grenade into an occupant’s hideout. Unlike the usual use, the device is saved and shows the operator “beautiful footage of their own work”.

Armed Forces of Ukraine: details

InformNapalm community analysts noted what makes the video of the Rarog UAV company so special. They said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to use FPV drones repeatedly. The devices are relatively cheap and harder to control, but they can reach the target faster.

The post with the example of a reusable drone does not indicate where exactly the events are taking place. However, information can be found on the web about the area of the frontline where the 24th Brigade of the Armed Forces is fighting. In particular, on October 6, the media reported on the unit’s participation in the battles near New York and Toretsk in the Donetsk region, not far from occupied Horlivka.

Meanwhile, experts have studied the market for drones sold by China to Russia and Ukraine. We found out that the Russian army has the ability to purchase millions of UAVs without hindrance. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side must act covertly and through intermediaries.

However, Ukraine is developing its own drones, both airborne and maritime. For example, a week ago, the media showed an example of a marine drone test called “Marichka” that threatens the Russian Black Sea Fleet and the Crimean bridge. In addition, the network posted the launch of a missile, presumably an S-200, which was converted from an air defense missile to strike Russian ground targets.
