Beond Airlines will offer passengers Apple Vision Pro headsets as an onboard entertainment system
The recently opened luxury airline Beond will start offering passengers Apple Vision Pro headsets for “immersive in-flight entertainment.” This service will be available on flights to the Maldives, where the airline is based.
The airline recently opened in the Maldives and is positioning itself as the world’s first premium airline to offer unique and customized travel experiences for today’s travelers. Beond will launch flights from various destinations, utilizing the latest innovations in aviation and luxury travel. The airline is currently focusing on direct flights between European cities and Male (Maldives).
“Apple Vision Pro will redefine in-flight entertainment and we will be the first to offer it to select passengers. In addition to our existing and growing library of in-flight content such as movies and games, Beond will showcase stunning resort destinations and activities in the Maldives. We are currently working with partners in the Maldives to produce some truly amazing footage. The in-flight experience will create a sense of anticipation for passengers even before they arrive in the Maldives. Offering Apple Vision Pro is another step in our vision to provide our customers with a premium travel experience from the beginning to the end of their journey. In early February, Apple Vision Pro augmented reality headsets went on sale in the US. The public had different opinions, but most agreed that the headset would be the most popular in-flight entertainment. The manufacturer agrees with this, and has added a travel mode to VisionOS – the image is stabilized on an airplane, helping to maximize comfort, for example, when watching a movie on a large virtual screen.
The new Beond service will be available from July 2024.
