Biden administration approves supply of M864 cluster munitions to Ukraine, which can be used with AS Krab, CAESAR, M109A6 Paladin and Panzerhaubitze 2000
We just wrote that the US is going to announce the supply of cluster munitions to Ukraine and how much Ukraine needs them, and it has just become known that the Baden administration is already going to give Ukraine cluster munitions. It seems that their deliveries are not far off.
What is known
According to The Washington Post, President Biden’s administration has already approved the supply of cluster munitions to Ukraine. They will be included in a new military aid package that may be announced today, July 7.
We are talking about M864 cluster munitions. Their production began in 1987. The M864 is a joint project of Chamberlain Manufacturing Corporation and Talley Defense Systems. Such ammunition can be used with 155-mm artillery. For example, AS Krab, CAESAR, M109A6 Paladin and Panzerhaubitze 2000, which are in service in Ukraine.
