Boeing is asking the Pentagon to hand over high-precision GLSDB missiles with a range of up to 150 km to Ukraine

They can be launched from HIMARS, M270 and aircraft

The Boeing company asked the Pentagon to give permission to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine with projectiles with a range of more than 100 km.

This was reported by the Reuters news agency, citing its sources. These are GLSDB (Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb) projectiles. The GLSDB combines the GBU-39 Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) with the M26 rocket engine. It is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 150 km.

GLSDB missiles are produced by Boeing together with SAAB AB. They are relatively inexpensive to manufacture. For example, the GBU-39 bomb costs about $40,000. It is controlled by the GLSDB using GPS. Such shells can be used in different weather conditions. They are capable of destroying enemy armored vehicles. GLSDB can be launched from HIMARS, M270, or aircraft.

If GLSDB supplies are approved, the Armed Forces may receive them in the spring of 2023.
