Bosch stops production at its plants in Russia

The German company Bosch, which, according to media reports, has been bypassing sanctions for years and supplying parts for Russian military equipment, is suspending production at its Russian plants.

This was reported by the BBC.

The German giant has admitted that due to supply and delivery problems, it may be necessary to leave Russia.

But, according to the BBC, this departure comes amid claims by Ukraine that “one of the main components” for Russian infantry vehicles is supplied by Bosch.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Bosch had been supplying these components to Russia’s military “for years.”

An investigation is currently underway in Germany to determine whether Bosch has violated EU sanctions against Moscow.

The company says it has launched its own investigation and takes the allegations “very seriously”.

More than 300 companies have already left the Russian market as a result of sanctions against Russia over the war in Ukraine.

Due to problems with key supplies, some Russian plants have already announced forced “vacations” in production.

Analysts predict default for Russia’s economy in April.
