Canada joins training of Ukrainian pilots and personnel to operate F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets
The international coalition to train pilots and personnel of the Ukrainian Air Force to operate the F-16 will soon get another member. This was stated by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
What is known
The Prime Minister said that Canada would send instructors to train Ukrainian pilots on the F-16 Fighting Falcon. Justin Trudeau also noted that the North American country will help with the training of service personnel.
The day before, it was announced that Ukraine would receive a military aid package worth almost $500 million. It will include German Leopard 2 tanks. Their number is not yet specified.
As for the F-16, three countries have officially announced the delivery of the fourth-generation fighter jets after completing the pilot and staff training program. These are Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands. Belgium will also consider the possibility of transferring aircraft.
